Music Sweet Sweet Music

Soon after I began taking piano lessons from Herman, I started to share with him compositions I had written for piano. Not long after that he suggested that I apply to study at the Sweelinck Conservatory.  In order to apply, I needed to submit a recording of a selection of my compositions. Herman thought it would be a good idea to submit compositions for a variety of instruments rather than just works for piano. So, in addition to a choral work that I composed for his choir, I wrote these three flute pieces for the flautist who was part of his piano-cello-flute trio.  

 

Note: A grace note is note that is played to embellish the main notes of a musical phrase.
